Moral Genius Ethics Training System
There are 7 sets of MoralGenius flashcards. Each set contains 40 colorful flashcards with age appropriate graphics and scenarios. The flashcards are designed to give parents a tool that helps communicate a value system to their children. The flashcards can be used for discussion before bed, as bonding time between an older and younger sibling, creatively for role-playing, and in a silly way to discuss wrong answers. Extension activities may include setting up scenarios from the flashcards for children to see what their response is to different situations, talking about how characters in books and movies mimic or differ from the traits on the flashcards, and rewarding children who spontaneously display the values discussed.
3 to 5 Years of Age
The flashcard set for 3 to 5 year olds features bright, primary colors and adorable cartoon "spokescharacters.” The flashcards discuss topics that are relevant and appropriate to their stage of development including patience, listening, hard work, kindness and caring. Like the rest of our flashcards, these cards come in a version inspired by MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) called "Flashes of Faith", which feature a scripture reference as a basis for the value teaching.

We have created these flashcards using the same format of any other flashcard system. The familiar flashcard set-up presenting questions on one side and answers on the other side is used in the MoralGenius flashcards. We encourage you to enter into deeper discussion with your children about how to apply these principles into daily life. For example: ask your children to describe how they have seen these principles/values in experiences they have had or in movies they have seen, encourage role play scenarios depicted in the flashcards, or reward your child for exhibiting the positive values learned from the flashcard system.
Parental modeling is another useful addition to
the flashcards. This flashcard set includes a set "reward"
stickers featuring the spokescharacters. You can use these reward
stickers to highlight and encourage improvements and accomplishments
in behavior.
We understand that developing character and values in your children takes time, but we also believe that time invested now will pay off many times over in the future. One-by-one we believe parents like you will change the future of America.

6 to 8 Years of Age
The
cards for 6 to 8 year olds feature fun colors and photos of real 6
to 8 year old youngsters. In this set of cards, we explore topics appropriate to their stage of
development including honesty,
respect, responsibility, empathy, and courage.

We hope this format gives you time to bond with your child and time to share your expectations and thoughts about certain scenarios before the events (or similar ones) occur in their lives. We hope that the MoralGenius flashcard system makes discussion about good choices between children and their caretakers an easier task. Remember, some studies show that by age 7 children are more likely to listen to their peers than to their parents when making decisions. Now is the time to spend time with your child and to educate them about what makes people successful in life.

As always, discussions about how you have come across these issues in your life, evaluation of how these traits are present or missing in characters of books/movies, role play, and positive rewards for real-life demonstration of these values is encouraged. Additionally, role modeling and activities to reinforce learning are recommended. For example, field trips to an animal shelter or nursing home can be helpful in fostering empathy and respect. Similarly, try challenging your child to try a new sport to foster courage.

9 to 10 Years of Age
These
cards have a medieval theme to keep older children interested in
learning. These 40 color cards focus on self-control, vision,
doing-the-right thing, problem solving, and having a positive
attitude.
Like our other cards, these cards come in a version inspired by MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) called "Flashes of Faith", which features a scriptural reference as a basis for teaching.

These flashcards come with tattoos of the medieval characters which can be used to reward and encourage appropriate behavior.
In this series of cards we address the characteristics of leaders. Leadership focuses on the seven principles spelling "LEADERS" with the first letter of each word:
· Long-term vision,
· Excellent people skills,
· Acceptable risk taking,
· Discipline,
· Extraordinary competence,
· Respectful communication, and
· Stewardship.
By working through Moral Genius' cards for preschoolers, early elementary, and elementary students, your child should have a strong sense of principles and should be well on the way on the right path for a fulfilling and successful life.
